You ever notice how many cars go by with Christian bumper stickers on them?
Seems like it is much easier to show our faith in God by bumper stickers and outward signs that it is by living our life under the power and guidance of the Holy Spirit.
When we accept Christ, we receive forgiveness for our sins, past, present and future. We are crucified with Christ, dead, buried and then raised up again as new creatures in Him. The Holy Spirit comes to live within us and God now sees us as holy and righteous because He sees Christ in us. It’s what is on the inside that counts.
Jesus told the Pharisees that the outside of their cups were clean, but inside they were full of dead men’s bones. Hopefully that isn’t the way a lot of us are.
Because of Christ and the Grace He provided, we are clean on the inside, holy and righteous in His sight. Not because of anything we did, but because of what He did. Jesus paid the price, we get the benefits.
There is nothing wrong with being excited about our faith in God and wanting to show it with bumper stickers and various outward things. The main thing is that we take up our cross daily, follow Jesus and allow the Holy Spirit to live in us so that the true qualities of Christ will shine out of us.
Thanks for the links and the info. I appreciate your comment.

I find it sometimes beneficial to have Christ written somewhere on you either in a t-shirt or bumper sticker etc, it really puts you on guard because you know you have identified yourself as a Christian and so you think twice about cutting off that driver or watching what you say because you know everybody is looking at your actions (but don’t put anything on if what you put on does not put a fence around you on what you can and cant do) don’t tarnish the Name of my God. plus sometimes people will approach you more easily if they know you are a Christian and a t-shirt is the quickest way to say it, but as always there is always another side to an issue. if your Christianity is as deep as a t-shirt or a bumper sticker then you got a much bigger problem because many will come to Jesus saying Lord Lord and He will spit them out saying I never knew you (Matthew 7:22). work out you salvation in fear you don’t want to get to heaven only to be turned into hell
lastly, I think it is sometimes an obligation for Christians to speak out, for example. the coexist bumper sticker is a one of the most dangerous lie out there because it sounds so right until you look deeper into what Jesus said.
so I think Christians are obligated to speak out. a bumper sticker like this one
http://christianbumperstickers.org/collections/frontpage/products/coexist
is something we have to use to show those who don’t know what Christ said why this bumper sticker is a lie.
if you don’t know what Jesus said start here

but ultimately open your bible and know Jesus a little more because many will be deceived (especially in the last days) even the elite will be deceived (Matthew 24:24 ), don’t be the one who gets deceived because of ignorance, its your job to know how Jesus thinks and who He is. read his word.

I have always refused to have a bumper sticker. I also do not wear a cross or other outward sign of what is within. If my faith cannot be seen by my personal fruit, then I am not really interested.
I find it far more interesting when in conversation with a stranger, that they have no preconceived idea of what box to put me in. He and I am then free to talk as the conversation leads. When I do lead it into spiritual matters, they are much more disarmed and prepared to listen. I can draw a person towards listening to the thoughts of the Lord without being churchy.
