I am Done

September 8, 2015 by DoneWithReligion

For the past five years, I’ve been posting a blog every now and then at ‘Done with Religion’. Unfortunately, now in September 2015 I am done. Well….only for the month.

My wife and I are leaving on the biggest vacation we have ever taken, a drive from Ohio to the west coast.

We plan on visiting the Grand Canyon, seeing a show or two in Las Vegas, on to Los Angeles and a drive up Route 1 along the west coast. We are stopping in San Francisco and Seattle, then through Idaho and on to Chicago before heading back home to Ohio.

For those of you who follow my postings, I may not be posting while gone, or I may post from time to time telling you about our adventures. Either way, I want you to know I appreciate that you take the time to follow my blog and read my postings.

I hope you will be patient with us as my wife and I get away from the typical postings. I also ask for your prayers as we travel, asking that God watches over us as we travel, and that we allow the love of God to touch everyone we have contact with while away.

Thanks again for being a part of ‘Done with Religion’.

Thanks so much, Mike. I will be praying for your safety on the way home and that Father guides you in your relationships with the saints of God and continues to inspire your writings. Hugs!

Thank you Michael. Betty and I enjoyed our time together just as much. You and Dorothy were a joy to spend the evening with and we were inspired by hearing your life story. We appreciate your kind remarks very much. You two are the real thing also and we are glad to know you both.

Hey all you dear saints on here! Mike and Betty stopped over night in our town on the way from Seattle to Yellowstone Park and we had a great visit with them over supper together. The only regret we have is that we couldn’t talk them into staying longer, but after this many days on the road and a noisy motel room in Seattle we understood their need to get some sleep and to get back home soon, too.

Thanks again, Mike and Betty for the wonderful visit. I have found out that what people share on the internet tends to take on scope once we have a chance to meet them in person and this is the case once again. These two saints are the real thing! :-)
